This blog is a reflection of my life experiences as a wife, mother of four, small business owner, and hairstylist, coupled with my personal passion for all things design—especially website design.
I’ve spent many years in the fashion and retail industry. With over 21 years of experience as a hairstylist and having previously owned my own clothing boutique of the same name, I have a lot of insight into these industries. After making the tough decision to close my physical storefront, I knew there was another purpose for my brand. I spent a lot of time reflecting on where I wanted to go next, and it was then that I discovered my true calling.
This blog is the next evolution of OAK & IVY. It represents my passion for helping small businesses learn from my experience, sharpen their brand aesthetic, and connect to an audience through visual storytelling.
